Challenge
How do you build, scale, and govern a unified component library that maintains 100% accessibility compliance and scales seamlessly across multiple digital product lines? At enterprise scale, maintaining consistency across dozens of external and internal digital products is a constant operational battle. Without a shared visual language, product teams end up recreating basic components from scratch, ballooning time-to-market and introducing visual fragmentation.

Strategy
Created and scaled the enterprise-wide digital design system for American Century Investments. Build a robust, accessible Figma component library and comprehensive documentation, cutting down design- to-development handoff cycles.

Result
As the design system lead for ACDS 2.0 (American Century Design System), I partnered closely with Product Owners and the UI Foundations development team to architect a robust, multi-brand- capable system. By integrating foundational design tokens, engineering modular UI elements, establishing a formalized governance model, and centralizing living documentation, we built a scalable toolkit that streamlines workflows for designers and developers alike.
